Had a lovely time. Our hosts were very attentive. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable and we slept very well. The breakfast was excellent. There was so much choice. Now that we have stayed at Bowden Lodge we plan to go back there every time we visit Southport.

Tips for other travellers

The location is great! In one direction you have The imperial pub which is very nice and only a short walk away. In the other you have the main attractions. We were given a card by Jane for some local restaurants to get 10% off. We went to the Cathay Garden Chinese restaurant. Again, it was just a short walk away. The food was delicious. We recommend the crispy duck Cantonese style. There is also the Esso garage nearby which has a Tesco express. Handy as I forgot my shampoo and conditioner.

Jayne and Andy are brilliant hosts who make you feel really welcome,the rooms are really nice and the facilities are excellent.The choices at breakfast are really good with both hot and cold options.

The Bowden is well situated and has a lot of character,it is also part of Southports Heritage Tour.

Always enjoy our visit as Jane and Andy as they are always amenable to any of our requests. We will be booking again for stays next year.

As usual Jane and Andy gave us a warm welcome the room was as usual spotless,the breakfast is deelish,can't wait to make another excuse to stay there which won't be far off.
