We appreciated the friendly and informative contact with Jenny - and the gift of rhubarb, apricots and wild spinach they grow on the estate ! Very approachable.

Tips for other travellers

Our second visit and hopefully a third some time in the future. A lovely and convenient centre for the area - very clean and comfortable. The hare outside the door one morning was a definite plus.

Lovely safe place to stay with our 2 little dogs. So peaceful and welcoming this was I think our 5 visit. The kitchen is well equipped to make anything and there is plenty of fridge and freezer space. Lovely touch is always some gifts of produce this time milk, apricots, spinach and rhubarb

Visit :the village cafe for fantastic cakes :Castle Douglas for chocolates and handmade bread : Dalbettie for Barry's butchers for the best steak pie ever. : lock Arthur cafe for cheese and wonderful soup

Lots of wild life to see, a peaceful place to staywith a comfy bed and the bonus of two bathrooms can not fault this as a place to stay for a holiday

Tips for other travellers

If you have an EV the charging on site is good at a reasonable price, for a distance drive Logan Botanical Gardens and Culzean Castles (visited last year) have free charging but you'll need a Charge Place Scotland card
