We stayed in River Birch facing the lake. Sitting on the verandah first thing in the morning watching the birds was blissful. A very relaxing holiday in a beautiful place. Highly recommended to just sit and watch the wildlife.

Tips for other travellers

Perfectly placed for visiting the North Wessex Downs. Easy to get to Avebury, Marlborough and Lacock plus great walks direct from the lodge.

Our 4 or 5 visit over past 12 yrs. Always clean and peaceful. Birch Lodge our favourite with view over large pond. So much birdlife and in summer months evening bat display.

Basic amount of kitchen washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs. Bring extra for longer stays.
