Chris and Claire are so welcoming. We ordered a bottle of the rosé for our arrival which was lovely. Clarkson and Cookie, the labradors, are both adorable! We will definitely be back! Many thanks

The Smokehouse pub doesn't serve food on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Very Friendly and accommodating prior to Arrival, it was amazing being the only people there the 1st night and just the kind of site we like not too busy and noisy. Wanted to stay longer but work commitments made us come home :( until Next time

Be Careful of the road leading to the Vineyard, it gave us a very bumpy ride but as long as you know its not an issue. The area was good for cycling my husband had a fantastic ride when it was cooler and is looking at the area for when he does the guys cycle weekend.

Claire & Chris are such fun and entertaining hosts. The wine from Seal Wood is so good; it was by far the best wine we have had in a long time. The site is very pretty, feels very rural, but is within walking distance of the Colliery Smokehouse restaurant & bar; and just a short drive to some great places such as Twycross Zoo, Calke Abbey and Ashby. Close to the Abbey you must lunch at The Tolgate - best pizzas ever and their home-brewed cider is excellent. We will definitely stay at Seal Wood again.

Places we’d recommend are as above. Plus Ashby is known for its lively night life - pubs with live music. Taxis - Ubers - are quite cheap from this site to the outlying villages and pubs. Great mini- music fest at the Mount Pleasant Inn, just £5.47 in an Uber, one-way.
