Big apartment, we had grandchildren 8 and 6 years. Both loved it. Fantastic location on the edge of everything that Southport central as to offer. Owner lived close but never intrusive, but available if needed. Highly recommend this accommodation.

We grew up visiting Southport on day trips as kids ourselves and then with our kids and now our grandkids, but never stayed here overnight. Have to say the area is clean, tidy and for kids it’s excellent and everything was very reasonable to keep them entertained, with lots of free stuff too. Weather was kind to us too. The amazing dunes and surreal beach are just a short drive or 20 minute walk away, and we walked to the elusive sea edge from the beach, extraordinary sky and a most unusual landscape you won’t see anywhere else in the Uk. The sunsets were spectacular. We will be back I’m sure

This is the fourth time we have stayed at The Shelbourne and will be booking for next year and would unconditionally recommend it for a stay in Southport. It is well located at the southern end of Lord Street and all facilities are within level walking distance. The apartments are exceptionally well equipped and comfortable.Spacious and excellently maintained to ensure a thoroughly relaxing stay. You will receive a warm welcome from hosts Mel and Dave who go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay.
