David and Denise are excellent hosts. Very friendly and so helpful. We've stayed with them in all their barns now and will definitely be back. Our dogs love it there too :-)

Tips for other travellers

Best place to take dogs (in the Summer) Black Rock Beach. Really good cafes at Widemouth and Crooklets beaches. Lovely cliff top walk from Sandymouth to Crooklets unless the tide is out and then you can walk along the beach

Our go to place near Bude which was a great little find , a few years ago. Lovely, friendly hosts & accomodation that has everything you need.

Great hosts, welcome pack with scones, jam and clotted cream were a lovely gesture. Nothing is too much trouble if you need something that is not readily available in the cottage. Swallow barn is well kitted out and comfortable accommodation in a idillic country setting. Would be ideal spot for a creative writing retreat. Equally good base for local beaches or exploring Cornwall. This was not my first visit and plan to return next year.

Tips for other travellers

Bude beaches are clean with good water quality. The OliveTree in Bude was a nice place for lunch. Plenty to do if you want to explore.

David and Denise are amazing hosts and nothimg too much trouble. Cottages are spotless but feel really homely.

Widemouth Manor is excellent place to eat if you want a really amazing meal. Crackington Bay is beautiful and Black Rock beach brilliant for dogs.
