Perfect accommodation. We were pleased not to have any stairs to climb! We appreciated the extra touches, like the wine glasses and nibbles, also the tea tray was refreshed every day. The breakfast was delicious. Perfectly cooked and presented, and even had croissants, a real treat. The garden is lovely with lots of interesting plants and the views are fabulous.

We visited the Redwood pub, just down the road on each day and enjoyed the food. It’s a nice old village pub. We were supporting the Devon cricket team playing at Blundell’s school, just a couple of miles from “Brambles”.

The hosts of Brambles B&B, Alison and David, are supremely welcoming and kind. The rooms are havens of quiet and comfort, including one of the best double beds I’ve ever slept in! While we enjoyed our breakfast, cooked fresh to order and accommodating any and all dietary wishes, we looked out over their colourful and beautifully maintained garden and were treated to the many comings and goings of birds visiting the feeders just outside the breakfast room windows. Birders, bring your bird books!

Without hesitation I will be recommending this place to anyone who desires a vacation midst quintessential English landscape. Following wonderful, well marked, footpaths takes you on walks over rolling green hills, through fields, pastures, woodlands, and along babbling brooks. Approximately an hour and a half drive away there are Stonehenge and other fascinating historical sites such as Old Sarum.

Rooms are in a beautiful garden with far reaching views of the countryside. Toiletries are provided as well as a wide choice of beverages and snacks. Breakfast is amazing everything you can think of and hosts are so friendly and helpful. Plus during the heat wave fans were provided in the room. Shower is powerful. Great pub just down the road serving lively meals. Stayed twice and will return again so I think that speaks for itself. We would absolutely recommend The Brambles.
