Tiverton is a short journey away, with plenty of shops, places to eat and walks by the river. Places of interest are Knightshayes Court,near to Tiverton, with it's beautiful house and grounds. Tiverton Castle, the Wellington monument, which can be seen from the M5 and lovely canal walks at Samford Peverell. Further afield is Killerton House and gardens.
