Our room was the smallest one at Brambles but it had everything you could want except a second chair. A comfortable folding one would do. The bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast menu was truly comprehensive and the full English was always freshly cooked and delicious!

Knighthayes Court NT is worth a visit but avoid the noisy cafe and have lunch off campus at the nearby Hartnoll Hotel. Great ciabattas! Beware! Lunch at the Ivy Hotel Exeter cost two of us over £100! Very nice but??

Although ours was literally an overnight stay we only tried the local inn,Redwood a 15mins or so walk was a pleasant local which served food,it seemed to be a meeting hub for the local football and skittle teams

I absolutely loved my stay at Brambles. I am truly in awe of the effort and attention to every detail you've made. This is better than any established hotel I've stayed in, and I would absolutely recommend staying at Brambles to anyone travelling to the south west.

I would absolutely recommend a day trip out to St Audries waterfall, but be mindful of the tides as you can only see it at low tide, also wear shoes with good tread as the path down is steep and devoid of steps until near the bottom. The Quantocks are great for walks and seeing ponies, sheep and goats.
