A lovely bungalow, immaculately presented and with lots of thought clearly gone in to providing things like local walking and cycling maps. It was ideal for our outdoorsy family for a week. We'd have stayed two of we could.

Lots of interesting walks, rides and medium sized hills in the area, with good access to loch agar,cairngorms and to Aberdeen and the coast

This was our 10th year in a row staying at Drumhead Cottage. We love it. We are always guaranteed a warm welcome and the cottage is always kept to a very high standard of maintenance and cleanliness. The cottage is set in a peaceful area and is surrounded by stunning views of the hills and surrounding countryside. It’s always a pleasure to visit Donna and Roddy and we always look forward to our annual viisit. This year they were outstanding helping with the challenges brought by Storm Amy. Tips for other travellers

The Boat at Aboyne is lovely, food excellent and you get a friendly welcome. Watching the Salmon leap at the Falls of Feughside Forest trails in abundance for walking and cycling Numerous castles and grounds to visit.

Finzean Cafe, Potarch Cafe as two great eating places close at hand. Banchory has great shops and lots of good eating places.

Very helpful, the 'happy birthday' baloons were a nice touch! Loved the Hot Tub, esp after a long days walking. Very well appointed, nice bathroom, cottage was warm, clean.

Portach Cafe a delightful blace for brunch/lunch. If any car problems, we had a good experience with Caldwell & Dempster.
