We had a couple of Chinese takeaways from the Richmond House which was pretty good. We enjoyed the loch ness cruise, a visit to the Glenfinnan viaduct and a trip to the Isle of Skye.

Fantastic value for money accommodation right in the heart of the Highlands, right near loch Ness and comfortable driving distance from the Cairngorms, Inverness, fort William and even Skye!

Lovely cabin in great surroundings within easy reach of lots of attractions around Loch Ness. Child and pet-friendly House has everything you need for a great holiday and we had a lovely relaxing two week break. Great communication with hosts, quick to reply and happy to assist if necessary.

Inch Hotel in Fort Augustus - great food Ice Cream parlour beside the locks in Fort Augustus is great Redbarn cafe near Glen Moriston - lovely wee cafe and you can feed the highland cows across the road if you're so inclined (we were). Invergarry river walk is approx 7k loop, very easy going Allt na Criche walk, worth the extra wee hike up to the great glen way high route. Torr Dhuin walk nearby nice wee hike up a hill with a breathtaking view at the top. Bike hire at Girvan's hardware store in the Fort Augustus Urquhart castle - it's a castle with unbeatable views of loch ness and great history - actually more pleasant experience during covid times as so much quieter - would recommend an early booking slot just for this.

We could not fault the cabin, the facilities or the location. Ray and Laura are always available for help and advice, if you want to visit the Scottish highlands I would recommend Wildwood cabin, it’s very private but close to town.

The Lock Inn do a lovely lunch by a real fire. We drove down to fort william for shopping, up to Znairn beach for the day, a boat trip to find Nessie is a must.
