Pity bar closed early (before 9:15pm)! Lovely sitting room yet guest had to ask for it to be unlocked!

Hello and many thanks for your review, which indicates that you have enjoyed your stay, in the main. We served you drinks at your table and asked if you required more. When you left, we assumed there was no further requirement for our bar service. I have deep regret in noting your disappointment about the bar. As the sole licence holder, here, I must be physically present on the premises for alcohol to be sold. In the current, strange times, I am working constantly, without a day off, from 7 am each day. If no one is around the building, I generally close the bar at around 9.30 to 9.45pm so that I can rest, to be of service to our guests the following day. In the guests' welcome email, they are informed of this and notified that I can serve trays of drinks for them to take to their room or enjoy in our lounge, just prior to closure, if they request it. Saturday evenings (the night you stayed) are our quietest. During the week, we have many long-stay guests who like to enjoy the hotel facilities during the evening, over a meal. Conversely, Saturday tends to be a 1 night "see Pitlochry" break where folk visit the town for a meal and drinks. It really is my one chance for an early night. The Lounge wasn't deliberately closed. The door catch is on a snib, (to the interior of the lounge) and it had slipped to allow the door to lock. It leaves an air of disappointment that this might have cast a shadow on your stay and I am sorry for it.

From start to finish we were made to feel really welcome in your dog friendly hotel, check in was quick and easy, the rooms were spacious and clean with extras The food was excellent value for money and a great idea in pre ordering is a great idea as it gave us flexibility when we were out and about about booking our meals and time. we will definitely be back in the near future.
