This was our second stay at Pencubitt House and we loved it as much as our first. Julie & Patrick are fantastic hosts and so accommodating. Wonderful breakfasts and evening meals. Our room was lovely in every way and we were able to soak up the September sun on the balcony overlooking the lovely gardens. we hope to return to Pencubitt House in 2022!

Pencubitt House is an ideal place to stay and is a short drive to the Cornish south coast and not far from Looe, Polperro & other coastal villages & bays. Lanhydrock House (near Bodmin), Eden Project & Lost Gardens of Helligan are lovely places to visit.

This is a gem of a place. We are regular visitors and worth the 425 mile drive. Pencubbit house is centrally located for visiting Cornwalls delights. Accommodation is first class and the food is outstanding, everything freshly cooked with a great non fancy menu. Patrick and Julie are superb hosts and will make your stay memorable, great value for money, can’t recommend highly enough.

For a night out locally the Plough at Duloe is near by, lovely quaint pub serving great food. Looe and Polperro are great coastal villages to visit with ample parking, Port Isaac and Fowey are other great places to visit, plenty parking but worth getting there earlier rather than after lunch.

Patrick and Julie offer what is probably one of the most sublime experiences in culinary expertise together with minute attention being paid to all aspects of cleanliness and hygiene throughout this impressive country house. Nothing is too much trouble and they will go the extra mile to please . Julie is the perfect host and they are both very approachable and great company. Unbeatable and cannot recommend enough.
