Pencubitt House

We’ve recently returned from a short stay at Pencubitt house and we’re already looking at dates to go back! The house is amazing, the food is fantastic and the owners, Patrick and Julie are lovely.

A really beautiful hotel set in stunning countryside, with wonderful rooms and truly amazing dining. The hosts are so delightful - they're so welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble. They really do go the extra mile for their guests, and after our recent stay (which was our third time) it was very hard to say farewell. We've just booked another visit .. which says it all really! It really is a superb hotel .. absolutely fabulous .. and so are Julie and Patrick. 💓

Just returned from the wonderful Pencubitt house. You are welcomed from the moment you go through the front door. Julie (front of house) & Patrick (the most brilliant chef) are so friendly and do everything possible to ensure your stay is great. The house is spotless, with 2 comfortable lounge for relaxation anytime and pre dinner drinks if required. Help yourself coffee with fresh milk in one lounge. The bedrooms are immaculate, comfy beds and a tray of tea/coffee, milk & biscuits available too. I especially enjoy watching the rabbits out on the lawn. The dining room reminds me of a French dining room, immaculately clean with white tablecloths & napkins. Crockery all white. Breakfast is a feast, help yourself to buffet and lots of choice for cooked too. Endless coffee & tea. Patrick makes everything fresh and all is delicious. Julie is attentive to everyone’s needs and so friendly, putting everyone at ease. They are a super couple and we cannot wait to return.

We enjoyed 4 nights here in April 2026. Julie and Patrick were generous hosts during what turned out to be a short break that easily exceeded our already high expectations (I like to do my research). We will definitely return and can see us joining the ranks of the other guests who return year after year.
