Elterwater Hostel

Beautiful hostel in a fantastic setting. Great facilities and super friendly staff.

This hostel is simply the best; no question. On the edge of the delightful village of Elterwater in the heart of the Lakes, it provides restful accommodation including comfortable bunks and bedding, bed-lights and USB ports, clean toilet facilities with gushing hot showers, and a very efficient drying room. The in-house food is always plentiful and delicious, but ample self-service cooking facilities are available. The customer service from Charlie and Andy, both long-term managers is friendly, efficient and good humoured; exemplary and a delight to do business with. My group of middle-aged guys from Didsbury, Manchester have been coming here since 2018 and we never consider going elsewhere. This year, just when we thought it could not be bettered, we arrived to find a new accommodation block for the staff had been built and the hostel itself slightly reordered. It is all simply brilliant!
