We stayed at Casa Lobo for 3 nights in Terre One as two couples, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our trip to Guatemala. The location is ideal — just a 15-minute walk into town. When we didn’t feel like walking, tuk-tuks were always nearby and cost only 5–10Q per person, making it super easy to get around. The unit itself was spacious and unique, set over two floors. The downstairs bedroom is located right off the entrance near the bathroom, while the upstairs bedroom is much larger, with a TV, a balcony, and plenty of space to relax. There aren’t doors separating the rooms, so keep that in mind if you’re traveling as two couples, but the upstairs definitely became our main hangout spot. The best part was the rooftop terrace, complete with hammocks, swinging chairs, and amazing views of the lake — perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The beds were unbelievably comfortable — by far the best we had anywhere in Guatemala (I’m still thinking about them now!). The shared infinity pool is stunning, with sweeping views, and the hummingbirds that hover around the property make it feel extra magical. Lobo, the owner, is incredibly warm and welcoming. He was always happy to chat and gave us great recommendations on places to eat, drink, and explore. The property also has a shared kitchen and pool area, plus a fridge stocked with drinks (both soft and alcoholic). You simply note down what you take and settle up before leaving — prices were very fair, and it was such a convenient option. Nearby, there’s a pizza place you can order from via WhatsApp, a fantastic Italian restaurant, and a great breakfast spot within walking distance. We chose San Pedro for its lively vibe and wide variety of things to do, but staying just outside of the main town gave us the peace and tranquility we wanted. Between the infinity pool, the rooftop hammocks, and the welcoming atmosphere, Casa Lobo truly feels like a hidden gem. We couldn’t recommend it more — and we’d happily return in a heartbeat!

A Few Things We Absolutely Loved in San Pedro: Tuk-tuks: We had the best driver, Henry! No matter where we were or wanted to go, we’d just text him and he’d come pick us up. Super reliable and such a great guy. (+50258605904) - text him if you need to go anywhere, hes such a decent person and also an Artist. Breakfast: Orbe (just 200m away) was fantastic, and Tornado Coffee served the best coffee in all of San Pedro and probably Guatemala — 100% recommend. Breakfast menu was simple but great. The story around the coffee was great. Lunch/Dinner Spots: Las Delicias de Pablo — incredible Pad Thai, and the portions are huge! El Gato Perdido — delicious food paired with stunning views. Isobel’s — simple but amazing homemade Italian, and conveniently close by. It only open Wednesday and fills up quickly so go early Pizzeria El Callejon - Seriously delicious, we had three different pizzas (the vegetarian, Margarita and Pepperoni - all so good) Sublime Bar - so great for atmosphere and a few drinks out. Miradors & Art: Definitely visit the local miradors (viewpoints) or take a tuk-tuk tour of them (around 10Q per stop). We met a wonderful artist, Walter, along with his wife and their sweet dog Sofia. Our favorite spot was Arte Mirador Vista de Pájaro — the views are unreal, and Walter also offers affordable art classes and sells his own pieces pieces there, so its great for picking up local souvenirs. Even if you’re not into art, it’s such a memorable experience. 🌿 Day Trip: Visit San Juan! It’s just a short trip away and has such a lovely vibe.

It was a beautiful place and well cared for. Beds are very comfortable. I liked the quiet location. Perfect beach access. Amazing view and very well kept pool. It was perfect to have a kitchen and convenient to have beverages available. The staff were very kind and spoke English, Spanish, and German fluently. Thank you Daniel again for all your help with the reservation of my group! I will for sure be back☺️ I would only recommend that the pillows be softer, they provide more hooks in the dorm room and some storage for dried goods.

Tuk Tuk should only cost 5Q locally or 10Q per person if traveling a distance like Panoramic Café. Perfect little veggie store close by with other goods for food.

I really enjoyed my time at Casa Lobo. The accommodation was excellent—comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The internet was reliable, which was a big plus, and the amenities were top-notch, including a well-stocked kitchen, a relaxing sauna, and a beautiful pool. Although it’s a little out of town, that actually turned out to be a bonus. The peaceful surroundings added to the overall tranquility of the stay, and the sunrise views were absolutely stunning. Highly recommend Casa Lobo for anyone looking for a relaxing and well-appointed retreat.
