Oakfold House

This is a little gem. Wonderful house. Beautiful rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Robyn and Chris were wonderful hosts. Made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. You choose your breakfast the day before from the list, and its cooked perfectly and is very well organised. You have the same table throughout your stay to correspond with your room no. They work hard to make sure your stay is perfect. I would definitely recommend Oakfold House for a stay in The Lakes. Thank you to Robyn and Chris for being such lovely hosts, we really enjoyed our stay with you.

Just the most I could have wished for on my first (and definitely not last) solo trip.

Oakfold House is a very attractive property, decorated to a high standard and we had a lovely, relaxing two day stay over Easter. Our bedroom was spacious, very comfortable and warm, quality toiletries supplied in the bathroom, bath with shower, plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. For guests, thoughtful extras such as a choice of teas for the bedroom tea/coffee tray and an irresistible complementary dish of Kendal Mint Cake. Residents lounge, attractive dining room Catering was excellent with a wide choice of cooked breakfasts, catering for meat and non-meat eaters alike, fresh croissants and good quality breads for toast, fruit, yoghurts, cereals. Robyn and Chris could not have done more to make us feel welcome, two very personable people whose high standards in running a guest house were clear to see.

Second stay perfect friendly hosts nothing to much trouble excellent breakfasts.location just of main road down from w.mere nice and quiet.all spot on 🙂👍
