We picked the wrong day to climb Goat Fall! Poor views! The Drift Inn in Lamlash is to be recommended

Margaret and Iain were f. antastic and very friendly. The property is up a hill, but makes the views over lamlash bay even better.

Lovely accommodation, clean and comfortable.Great location with fantastic outdoor seating area overlooking the bay. Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Tips for other travellers

Loads of places to visit. We had a day driving round the whole island, stopping off at various locations. Whiting Bay, Blackwaterfoot, Colacol, Sannex and Corrie. Arran is an outdoor swimmers paradise with very easy access at many locations. The golf clubs look really inviting and we enjoyed our visit to the Heritage Museum in Brodick. Very friendly staff and a fascinating look at Arran's past. Arran Active store in Brodick is great as well. Very helpful staff and fantastic range of products. All in all Arran is a gem of a place and highly recommended.

What a wonderful time we had . Great accomadation and Margaret and Iain were amazing hosts. Excellant communication pre and during stay and great flexibility with the ferries !!! Thank you both so much , we will be back !
