"Great location for the NYMR and wonderful picturesque walks. Parking available on site. Our room was light and airy with two very comfortable single beds and the view from our bedroom of the old railway station with the sound of the odd train felt very nostalgic. Although the bathroom was functional, it was very bijou. The television wasn’t operating but with good broadband, this didn’t matter. Breakfast was very good with a full choice including homemade marmalade! We loved the huge dining area full of flowers and calming background music. "

Tip:
"Check whether the steam train is running along the NYMR route as it’s weather dependent. A good place for dinner is the Wheatsheaf Inn in Egton. Book early as it’s popular. The Rail Trail between Grosmont and Goathland is an easy walk with many interesting and historical points of interest. Walking both ways takes about 3 to 4 hours with stoppages.

"A lovely property, very clean & excellently presented with a grand dining/lounge area. Probably the best breakfast we've experienced, great choice, perfectly cooked & presented. It included a range of freshly prepared homemade breads & homemade "organic" Marmalade. All within a tasteful & relaxing piano Music soundscape. What more could you ask?"

Tip:
"For us Grosmont offers a range of things to do. Walking in the North York Moors, taking advantage of an extensive programme at The North Yorkshire Moors Heritage Railway & visiting the coastal attractions of the East Coast. In this respect Grosmont House offers the perfect location, overlooking Grosmont Station. This was our second visit to take advantage of the Pullman Anniversary Dining experience. I guess we'll be back for the next one."
