"Kingsburgh Boathouse was perfect in everyday for our stay. Due to an unforeseen medical accident in the Azores little did we know what a wonderful place to recover this would be. Healing both physically and mentally. The peaceful location was exactly what we needed. The house is fully outfitted with all you can think you would need and more. The kitchen is fully stocked w/all a person would need. All high end from pots and pans to linens. The heated slate floors felt amazing. Christina is a wonderful hostess. We had a ferry cancelation due to weather and it was no problem to rent the house for 3 extra nights. It bought us peace of mind. We will be back. "

Tip:
"*Stein Inn in Stein on Waternish Peninsula. It is the oldest bar/pub on Skye. The atmosphere is great.
*Edinbane Inn has the most mouthwatering Roast beef on Sundays w/great Scottish music starting at 3pm in the bar.
*Co-op in Portree (first left at traffic circle heading into Portree) has all you need for groceries.
*Healthfood Store in Portree has great options also.
*Hiking/Hill walking. Many wonderful hill walks on Skye. I would totally recommend the Fairy Glen, Scorrybreac trail in Portree, Rhbha Hunish one of our favorites. Coral Beach easy paved most of the way. Kingsburgh wooded trails.

Sky Gin is very good as is the variety of Beer.

Bellhavens Best is my favorite ale in all of Scotland.

"We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at the Kingsburgh Boathouse. The location is stunning on the shore of Loch Snizort. We watched the sun rise from the bedroom and saw seals in the Loch most mornings. The cottage is incredibly well appointed and feels very cosy. Christina (the owner) was extremely helpful and accommodating. We'd definitely stay again. "

"Really beautiful Boathouse right on the lakeside. Only 20 minutes out from Portree the location is great and ideal for those wanting to have a bit of solitude."

Tip:
"We went to the Edinbane Lodge for dinner which was next level dining. We also caught a ferry to Rasaay and enjoyed a distillery tour which I would recommend for anyone with an interest."
