"Clean, comfortable, spacious room with a good shower. Good staff, good beers and both evening meals were fine. Breakfast could be improved with a better selection of cereals, chopped fruits, dried fruits and natural yoghurt rather than fat free gloop."

Tip:
"Great location for three cycle trails and some great walking routes. Good base for walkers completing the 'Ethels' as there are several in the near vicinity."

"Cottage was ideal for short stay but no instructions for cooker and hob made it difficult to self-cater. Oven didn’t work at all but with pub next door they were able to cook our pizza for us! Only one pan and very little crockery. Fridge very small and no dishwasher. That aside the beds were comfy and linen and towels were fresh and plentiful and new showers were excellent. Location is perfect for a cycling/walking holiday in Manifold Valley. "

"We enjoyed a meal at the Manifold Inn on our first evening. The campsite opposite has a very convenient shop for fresh milk; food ; fishing nets etc.
We hired bikes from the Manifold Cafe & Cycle Hire in Waterhouses and cycled the 17 miles of track (8 1/2 miles each way. Out granddaughters loved the cycling with a paddle at the Wetton Mill cafe along the route. Next day we went to Ilam National Trust car park and walked to Dovedale stepping stones and then went to Wetton car park and walked to Thors Cave. A very enjoyable few days away. "
