"We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Manifold Inn. Being a bank holiday weekend the bar and restaurant were extremely busy but we thought that all of the staff coped very well - everyone was friendly and helpful and they worked together as a team to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Service was top notch, both in the restaurant and behind the bar - we were particularly impressed by the way tables were cleared and the place kept clean and tidy after customers had finished eating. The food was tasty and well cooked and we didn't have to wait long for our meals even though it was so busy. The specials included a Black Pudding Scotch Egg as a starter, which truly was amazing - I'll be back for more! We had a traditional roast on Sunday which was excellent value. We liked the dog-friendly atmosphere (even though we don't have a dog!) and the policy of not cleaning the room every day makes perfect sense. Our thanks to everyone for making it such a great weekend. "

"Top tip - there are some great walks that start near The Manifold Inn so you don't need to use your car!!! "

"All the staff are great, nothing was too much trouble even when things got very busy.
The food was fantastic too. Really liked the dog walking track around the football pitch.
Stayed in room 8 which was perfect, slight downside was the shower wasn't hot but bearable. "
