Thank for leaving such a detailed review. I wish you had messaged or knocked on the door and I would have very happily have given you milk. My wife will often leave milk but it's more than often left or is the wrong type or people go out, shopping, get a take away etc. You stayed for one night, through bookingdotcom arrived in the evening, we pay 25% commission including the Genius part, clean all the towels, sheets, bleach out any marks, etc, . Then the cost of cleaning the whole cottage/Coach House, add to that wear and tear, then insurance, gas, electricity, gas safety certificate, endless government forms, water charges, mortgage, maintenance, etc . . I agree with you that it is a premium place but needs guests/customers so its a fine line as to what to charge but we charged you the same as one room in a pub/premier Inn or hotel locally. We provided you both with a whole home from home for one night, so very far from a premium price. Where guests are given a welcome pack it is normally for longer than one night and the gesture is normally reflected in the price. The bedroom door has always been tight on the carpet when fully opened, but easily moves when not. The garden was not perfect on your visit, but nor had the weather been, no sun just lots of rain - the parasol was new last year, expensive and extremely nice, but I agree with you has had to go, so has. I hope you will come again for longer which costs less per night as it saves on cleaning and laundry costs, plus if you book direct your will as do all guests save money - NO fees to a third party. A tip to you and all who read this, search online for accommodation with all the main places - then when you like a place search for it on Google and book direct. It is almost always cheaper and will save a lot of money on your stay. Thank you again for taking the time to leave your review.

Whitley Coach House has central heating with a Nest thermostat that any guest can turn up to a maximum of 23 C and is extremely well insulated, all that was needed was a turn of the dial on the Nest - which is also set so it never goes to cold. I am really sorry you felt cold, a twist of the dial would have solved it. You stayed for 6 nights so I really wish you had told me and it would never have been a problem We had almost non-stop rain here until you stayed in early April so the garden was not on top form when you stayed. But is now in summer mode! Hopefully lots of sunshine and less rain, until the end of Summer. Many thanks for leaving a review I really appreciate it and hope you will stay again.
