"A warm welcome to a lovely stay. Plenty of info in advance which answered all my questions. Well equipped property and a generous welcome pack with milk, cake and even some bubbles! We had a lovely stay. Thanks. "

Tip:
"We walked to Mallards Pike, where there is a gruffalo trail for the kids, and a nice cafe. There and back was about 9kms.

Dinner in the fountain was good. We did book and got a friendly welcome.

A great little property for walking/biking in the area and great to bring the dog too. "

"Elaine and Tony are the most welcoming of hosts. The cottages are perfect; our favourite is Horse Gin with its beautiful mezzanine and gorgeous windows. We love that we can allow our dogs to safely run free in the gardens. The accommodation has everything we need. Castlemain is in a wonderful location in the heart of the forest and you can walk out the door straight into the woods. This is our favourite place to stay. "

"Excellent hosts,cottage well kitted out & extras included such as milk, tea, coffee. Excellent lemon drizzle cake & shortbread biscuits were an unexpected delicious surprise along with plums from the garden."

Tip:
"lovely walks in the forest, 2 pubs close by. Can also visit Whitemead holiday park which is a few minutes walk away, plenty to keep children occupied for a couple of hours & they serve nice meals too."
