"Just wow! Wonderful place with great views; a very unique scenery. The house (croft) is cosy and welcoming, with two fireplaces that made evenings especially warm and relaxed. Perfectly comfortable for our family of four.

"From here we explored beautiful beaches, we especially loved Achmelvich with stunning blue water, superb views and grazing sheep. We also visited the lighthouse and drove the spectacular Drumbeg coastal route. We loved experiencing the authentic, slower rhythm of life in this special part of Scotland."

"Wayne sent us detailed information about the property in advance of our stay and responded to all our queries promptly.
However, it would also have been good to have information, such as what bin went out on what day, in the folder in the house. We had to search for information online while on holiday, when it would have been so much easier just to flick open a page! (That's why I haven't given full marks for 'Facilities'.)"

Tip:
"Walk to the lighthouse and Stoer Head from the cottage. The track leading from the passing place on the road near the cottage heads down to the rocky shore - another nice walk from the door.
The views from the cottage of the ever-changing skies over Canisp, Suilven and other mountains were spectacular.
A lovely, cosy, well equipped cottage in a wonderful, remote location. Would be very happy to go back!"

"We had an excellent stay at Meal Dubh , we enjoyed the tranquility of the location (very adjacent to a lighthouse) at a point . The house is very comfortable and the owner Wayne , was extremely helpful with a particular issue that arose . We enjoy walking and the cottage is well suited for anyone who intends to spend time outdoors. "
