"lots to see and do - Clachtoll and the awesome Split Rock, great kayaking and sea swimmimg, fishing and beachy fun. Lochinver for supplies and petrol, post , the superb Lochinver Larder pie (sweet and savoury) shop and wonderfully friendly An Cala cafe/restaurant up by the harbour."

"The cottage is just lovely, everything we needed, comfortable and clean. The location is amazing, coastal walks from the door and just five minutes down to the beach. "

Tip:
"We enjoyed Handa, a lovely day trip. Only available weekdays and payment in cash. The butcher in Lochinver no longer opens on a Saturday and Jammery was ‘closed for the season’. The Drumbeg Store has a great selection of whole foods and fresh sandwiches!"

"Meall Dubh is a comfortable base to explore NW Scotland from. The cottage is well maintained and equipped; the kitchen appliances are great to use and there's a good range of utensils.
Communication with Wayne was easy and his responses were quick. The welcome pack includes a comprehensive selection of many local walks, which was really useful. "

Tip:
"After a long walk, or mountain climb, the sandy beaches at Clashnessie and Stoer are quiet and perfect for paddling. Bring binos - sea watching from the front garden, you may be lucky and see porpoises, dolphins, or even a whale - we did. Great wildlife from birds to plants and insects.
Oh, and Lochinver Larder's pies are delicious! "
