"This is a stunning house in wonderful grounds. We sat and watched otters playing, a kingfisher in the reeds and little egrets on the River Wye all from the window of our room. The room was very comfortable with a high standard of facilities. The shower was excellent and the bed very comfortable. There was a good choice of breakfast and the cooked breakfast was excellent. I have a dairy allergy and Tina was very happy to give me alternatives. The hosts are so welcoming and they put out plates, cutlery and glasses should you wish to get a takeaway or have a bottle of wine, and sit on the comfy sofa of an evening in the dining room. We feel very comfortable here and just love it. We have stayed in Hay before but much prefer to be here. We will be back as soon as possible!"

Tip:
"There are lovely walks right from the guest house. We walked across the bridge and along the river Wye, seeing a red kite close up sat on a branch. And of coure the Black Mountains and the walk up to Hay Bluff is nearby.There is a lovely restaurant just a short walk across the bridge from the guest house and the vibrant town of Hay on Wye is just a short drive away. There are many brilliant independent shops in Hay along with an excellent ice cream parlour and good cafes, one of the best being The Granary. We have often eaten in the Blue Boar where the food is excellent and the atmosphere is friendly and warm with real fires. The Indian restaurant in the town is very good. One evening was warm enough even in October to get fish and chips and sit on a bench watching the stars. We stayed for five nights and could have stayed much longer!
