"Heather and Alan are always thoughtful and kindly hosts. There’s a welcome tea tray with delicious Moore’s biscuits, and an additional generous provision of tea and coffee. In the fridge, milk and a bottle of wine add to the welcome.
We enjoy experimenting with cooking on Flo, the Aga. In late autumn, the apples from the garden cooked slowly in Flo’s oven are the best dessert you could wish for."

"Favourite places: Chideock Spar (so handy for groceries).In Bridport: Aleksandra’s chocolates (irresistible!), Sunbird for beautiful Indian tablecloths, garments and more, The Fridge for an astonishing variety of cheese, Waste not, Want not, Moore than tea, The Bookshop plus two second hand booksellers nearby, and we finally got to T. Snook and were astonished by the variety of wonderful hats and umbrellas. (And bought hats too.) In Lyme Regis, The Sanctuary Bookshop is not to be missed.
And from Chideock Cottage, an easy walk to Seatown and the beach. From the cottage it’s easy to catch buses to other places to walk."

"Lovedd the cottage and the experience of cooking on anAga. Prep space in kitchen a bit limited but i guess not much you can do to improve"

"Try out the local gardens. Mapperton house, Athelhampton and Burrow Farm. All within 30 mins drive and each one different"
