"As always, Heather and Alan are great hosts! Always keep us up to date with our booking, letting us know when final payments are due, what will happen on the day of arrival etc.
Cottage is just fab, hence why we keep on returning and also tell our friends, family and colleagues about it! Although part of us also wants to keep it to ourselves! Lol. But we always give details to others if they ask ;o). Cottage has everything you may need for a perfect stay. I don't drink Coffee, but daughter and hubby made good use of the coffee machine, so much so that hubby has bought one for his new office!
Loving the new dining room corner seating area, although it does mean you can't get into the cabinet very well to get out any games or books, so maybe those could go into the cabinet under the TV so that people know they are there :o). As ever, Flo (the Aga) served us well! And it's great to see that she's being maintained really well.
Daughter is off to Uni (hopefully) this year, so not sure if/when we'll get another booking in, but definitely hoping to at some point as we just love it at Chideock Cottage!"

Tip:
"3 good Local Pubs, all within walking distance, The George being just across the road (re-opened last year). Only been for a drink so can't comment on the food, but we hear it's very good and hope to try it soon.
The Clock Inn just up the road, lovely hosts, lovely food.
The Anchor Inn, Seatown - a good 20min walk or so depending on your speed! lol. But totally worth it! Food isn't cheap but it's amazing! Just make sure you book in advance! Right on Seatown Beach, fab view from the cliff seating, great for sunset watching. Not tried it, but there's a mobile sauna out front and in the past there has been mobile food trucks on the beach (pizza, tea, coffee, cake, icecream etc).
Bridport Town - lots of lovely shops and places to eat!
West Bay - great for a brisk walk! Been to Rise (restaurant) a few times. Quite pricey, but generally ok. Make sure to book!
Lyme Regis - just fab, loads to do being on the sea front! If you love fish and want a nice restaurant try Rockfish! (expensive but sooooo worth it!)
Loads of other lovely areas around Chideock that are easy to get to, but if you also just want to chill for the day the cottages are just perfect for that too :o)."

"Great Sunday Cavery in The George across the road from the cottage & fab customer service.
Seatown is a lovely beach to walk to and The Anchor provides a great pit stop, enjoyed the fish & chips & fish stew. All staff were helpful & friendly, make sure you book as gets very busy! "
