"The site was very pleasant and well laid out with so much room. This included the large pitches and the amount of space between pitches. We only score 4 for facilities as we do like water and grey disposal on the pitches. But this would not stop us from returning. "

Tip:
"Lovely evening walk around the mowed path around the field and through the forest. A really nice stroll. Ideal for the coast if that's your choice."

We are happy you enjoyed the site, large pitches and walks. I can't see us investing in serviced pitches in the future. As I joke with our visitors it is good to have a little exercise! It is when going to the service area they have a chat with other visitors too.

"This is the best site we’ve ever stayed on. Immaculate site with walks grass cut around the fields which is perfect for us and dog walking. The wildlife is great .we saw woodpeckers in front of our caravan. The information shed is unique and has everything and more that you need. I like paying for electricity that I use, fair system. Everything is clear and well laid out without losing character.
The only thing that could be improved is the WiFi that we couldn’t connect to. "

Tip:
"We have stayed here a few times and visit family nearby. We love walking along East Halton Skitter beside the Humber. We walk a couple of miles and watch the huge boats loading and unloading at the docks. The wildlife is great along the Humber."

What a superb review! Thank you for all you wonderful comments. Hopefully we are moving to Starlink in the near future. It is frustrating for us all too! We have tried many different things to improve it but because of our location it just doesn't work well. At least if you are lucky enough to connect it's free! Great tip for walkers at East Halton Skitters - thank you. We look forward to seeing you again.

The warden was very friendly and helpful.
A beautiful site would highly recommend it."

Tip:
"The eateries are a short drive and we're nice. But the site is so beautiful we were happy watching the rabbits and butterflies with a glass of chilled vino. "

What a wonderful review. Thank you for the super comments. I am happy Alan was helpful and I am sorry I missed your visit. I think it is the first review (we have over 1000) that anyone has mentioned the rabbits! We love the butterflies but are not too keen on the rabbits!
