"Overall cottage experience was good with Owner (Tash) response and follow up to requests or issues being excellent. Very small lake with very few motorized boats no greater than 15 horsepower. Cottage proximity to Port Carling and Bala is within 10kms either way. Excellent for LCBO, groceries and general supplies or restaurants. Accommodations suited our family of 6 adults almost perfectly (the upstairs bunk is a little tight for 2 adults). Anything larger would be challenging although there is sleeping located in the basement (damp and musty). The patio/deck is large and great for spending the day taking in all the peace and quiet. "

Tip:
"Muskoka Woodlands golf course (9-hole) is within 10kms. Nice and affordable. Port Carling Farmers Market on Thursdays. General store within 1km from the cottage. Great for absolute essentials including gas, ice, firewood but very expensive otherwise. "

"Gorgeous cottage - couldn't be any closer to the lake! We had a great time at My Muskoka Lake House and would highly recommend staying there!"

"Small local grocer just at the end of the road if you forget to pack anything."
