"On arrival we were pleasantly surprised by how lovely the cottages looked. We actually had 2 cottages . Inside is very cosy and bright. Well equipped for us all ,11ppl in total . Only a 2 minute walk and there’s a thia restaurant which is also is the bus stop. We were a hen Party so we went into York , used the taxi company in the info sheet and got the discount rates which Squirrels has with them.
We wanted to decorate the cottage but there is a no tape or blue tack policy,but in the cottages they have put hooks up in the lounge so you can tie balloons & banners which worked perfectly.
Kerry came to meet us and run through everything and was very helpful . You will not be disappointed here ! "

Tip:
"There is a thia restaurant literally 2 mins walk , a Chinese that delivers . The bus stop is 2 mins away and come every hour , may be more frequent in the day but I’m not 100%. Squirrels has a arrangement with several taxi companies and before 10pm offer a reduction. It worked out at £5 pp which we thought was great price . York is a beautiful place with lots happening. With being a hen Party we wanted a place to dance and we found revolution which was perfect . We also had a bottomless brunch which was a meal and endless cocktails and Prosecco. You can find quiet but also party atmosphere."

"Kerry was friendly and quick to reply to any messages we had. The cottages were clean and had welcome baskets filled with snacks and leaflets for recommendations. We were able to add on the hot tub last minute which was a great addition for our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay and got lucky with the weather! Thank you so much Kerry for accommodating us! "

Tip:
"York city centre is only a 15 minute drive away. We didn’t have time to go to local restaurants as we just stayed in the cottage. "
