"Would give you 5+ if we could , the attention to detail was superb. I can’t think of anything that you’ve missed."

"We enjoyed The Monkey Brewhouse, The Hare and Hounds, and the Mill at Gordleton for meals.
Also a lovely thatched cottage at Brockenhurst near the station for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea."

"A warm and friendly welcome on arrival from our hosts with a lovely selection of local treats. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well maintained and equipped. The patio and garden area was perfect for relaxing in the sun. All the furnishings and equipment are good quality and in good order. The large lockable storage for our bikes and bike rake was perfect. The cottage is in a quiet area but with the open forest, pubs a short walk, cycle away. The perfect base to explore the local and wider area. A local OS map and various pamphlets in the cottage provided ideas of places to visit and routes. "

Tip:
"Good cycle and walking routes in the forest to explore. The Red Lion and Hare and Hounds pubs serve good food and both have bike parking and good sized gardens. Rosie Lee tearoom is also excellent and nearby. Exbury Gardens and railway a very good day out, lovely views of Beaulieu River and wildlife. Short drive to Christchurch with shops and river. We visited Highcliffe Castle, the beach and then walked along the beach path. Walk the shingle spit to Hurst Castle. Visited Milford on Sea. Go to Lymington Market on a Saturday. Enjoyed seeing the ponies and donkeys on our forest walks and journeys. "
