"This campsite is one of the cleanest I’ve been on. Toilets are immaculate cleaned several times a day staff couldn’t be any nicer if they tried. It’s located short walk into Stranraer."

Long stay building is a Key access building with a deposit payment. This is not suitable for a lot of our short stay customers as they would be departing before reception opens and we would loose a key and they loose the deposit.

"Facilities a bit dated & not many campsites charge for showers in this day & age."

Tip:
"Bring fifty pence coins for showers. Only two shower cubicles in the long stay block are free. Problematic during busy times."

What changed from last year? We had exactly the same number of people on the touring side, and you gave us a 5 for everything? Building was cleaned multiple times per day as well. We have had more people on site than we had during the oyster festival and the number of showers has never been " problematic" ( and it wasn't for you ether last year. There are 4 free showers in that building, not 2. As for the 50p issue, we do ask the site inspectors who come to grade us about this and they confirm charging is commonplace, and usually more than 50p for less time. "A really friendly welcome. Site is very well kept and its easy to go into Stranrar either on foot or by bike. Would recommend staying here you will get a great night's sleep. Great for the ferry."
